We’ve been welcoming guests to our Festival of Spring every year since 2012, making it one of the longest-running spring festivals of its kind in North America. We plant over 150 varieties of tulips and more than 30 varieties of daffodils for one of spring's most spectacular pick-your-own events!

It’s like Holland in Virginia.

Our spring season lasts only about three weeks, and the exact timing is difficult to predict as these flowers bloom according to the spring weather patterns. Mother Nature oversees that. Check the field report page, the announcement bar at the top of this website, or our Facebook and Instagram for information and updates about our spring schedule.

Pick Your Own Spring Flowers

Pick from over 150 varieties of tulips and 30+ varieties of daffodils. With a selection this big, we can almost guarantee you’ll see flowers you’ve never seen before!

Tulips are $1 per stem, and daffodils 2 for $1*. Flowers are picked by firmly pulling the stem from the ground up. Some flowers will come up with a bulb when picking. Bulbs are cut from the stem at the packing stations.

*Five flower stems are always included with admission tickets. Flower bulbs are not sold during spring. We sell bulbs in the fall.

Picnic and Play

Relax in the courtyard of our 100-year-old dairy barn which has a lovely partially-shaded picnic area with picnic tables.

Play and explore numerous activities that are included with admission.

Spring Tips & Faq’s

  • Dress in layers. Our spring days can be chilly in the morning and warm in the afternoon.

  • Wear farm-worthy footwear. The fields take longer to dry out after spring rain.

  • Prepare for walking. The fields cover many acres.

  • Bring water and stay hydrated.

  • Pack a picnic.

  • We’re sorry, but no dogs are allowed for spring. Tulips are toxic for dogs if accidentally ingested.
